Hello.

I want to to tell you a little bit about myself. I grew up the middle child, but only girl, to loving parents in Lexington, Kentucky. My two brothers and myself scattered across the country but we all remain close.

I studied Chemistry and Art at Elon University in North Carolina. I then received a Masters of Nutrition from Columbia University in New York before studying medicine at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. I completed my intern year in Internal Medicine at the University of Kentucky and transferred to the University of Texas at Austin following my engagement to my now husband. After residency, I passed my board certification in Internal Medicine. I worked for 2 years as a hospitalist physician, mainly for bone marrow transplant patients. After much contemplation, I left that position in 2020, to pursue my passion for Lifestyle Medicine and have since become a diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine.

I am wife to former MLB player, Drew Stubbs, and mother to our darling love-bug, Sloane, and our sweet boy, Whit. We live in Austin, TX where I started my membership-based Concierge and Lifestyle Medicine practice, Rooted Femme.

I am passionate about improving lifestyle habits to lower the risk of disease, improve mood, and lengthen lifespan. I am an advocate for a plant predominate diet as a foundation for a healthy life. I developed a mobile application, Rooted Food, to help people focus on getting a variety of plant foods in their diet which will grow a diverse health, gut microbiome and ultimately help them live longer, healthier, more fulfilled lives.

I am excited to have a space where I can share medical knowledge, nutritional information, research findings, my artwork, and mom experiences. Thank you for being here.
